Open Communication



In this time of recession and economic depression, a great deal of management concerns are for employee productivity and the need to empower employees and teams. No doubt teams have helped boost production and employee relations, but one should never assume that teams are the singular, correct path toward empowerment. But more often what is required is the simplest need of all - communication.

Open Communication is both the solution and the problem. Communication within companies continue to be an age-old challenge, but some radical new solutions can help. Most organizations consist of departments resembling a crude department system, with each area insulating itself from other functional areas. These perceptual walls separate design engineering from production, production from marketing, and so forth. In an industry like IT, open communication is a must. In fact, our very industry facilitates communication!

Communication solutions today revolve around much greater data sharing and exchange of information among and within departments. For any healthy working relationship to thrive, open communication is essential. However, a lot of the time employees are penalized for speaking their mind to their superiors. Not at Tulip. We maintain that anyone in the organization is capable of being wrong or right and thus, let everyone speak their mind on work related issues. This establishes a free and comfortable environment for our employees to succeed.
